Let us start with a confession. We are print word junkies.
Sure we write blogs, read e-books and listen to audio books but it is the glorious printed word jumping out from a beautifully laid out book that thrills us the most. What better way to preserve and propagate thoughts, ideas and desires close to your heart than by putting it in a book. When one of us wanted to bring out a book of her mother’s recipes we decided to self-publish it, as between us we have over 20 years of experience in various aspects of publishing. It was a success and people in our circle of friends started asking us to help them with self-publishing their books. They put together their manuscripts and came to us with these simple words, “Help us ‘Publish Our Dreams’”. POD was born and we then decided to offer the platform to all aspiring authors. We now offer all services that take your writings from the stage of a manuscript to a ready to read book.

POD is also a take on Print-On-Demand (explained here), the technology used in the realm of self-publishing. We just love everything to do with type, printing and design and this reflects in our logo. Our logo is a rotational ambigram. All those who have read Dan Brown’s Angels and Demons will be familiar with this. For others: An ambigram is a typographical design or artform that may be read as one or more words not only in its form as presented, but also from another viewpoint, direction, or orientation.
